MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPS:
(Camps can be taken in any order - there is no sequence, they are all independent of one another. Register for as many camps as you would like; Middle School camps can be taken by rising 6th graders to outgoing 8th graders)
Public Speaking Fundamentals
- Overview: The Public Speaking Fundamentals camp teaches students the fundamentals central to public speaking. In this camp students will learn the ins and outs of how to elevate their public speaking: voice projection and volume control, speech organization, annunciation and verbal clarity, tonal variety, leveraging various persuasion styles (logos, ethos, pathos), reduction of verbal static (uh, um, like, and other unnecessary fillers), hand gestures, posture control, power stances, controlling the room, outlining, physical presence, cadence and rhythm.
- Duration and Times: One-week camp; Monday through Friday; 9am-12pm or 1pm 4pm (Depending on Week)

Middle School Debate:
- Overview: The Middle School Speech and Debate camp provides a perfect overview for speech and debate for all Middle School students. Students learn everything from A to Z as it related to Middle School Speech and Debate. Students will learn Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Congressional Debate, SPAR Debate, Impromptu, and a little prepared speech. Students are taught logic, argumentation, case writing, research, communication and public speaking, philosophy, fundamentals around policy, and so much more! All of this is presented in a fun, interactive, and highly nurturing way.

Middle School Speech:
- Overview:
- Our Middle School Speech Camp is the perfect introduction for students eager to explore the art of public speaking and communication. Designed to build confidence and skill, this camp covers a range of speech formats and essential techniques to help students become effective and engaging speakers.
- Participants will dive into various speech styles, including:
- Impromptu Speaking: Develop the ability to think on your feet and deliver spontaneous speeches with confidence.
- Original Oratory: Craft and deliver persuasive speeches on topics that matter to you.
- Storytelling: Learn how to narrate captivating and expressive stories that keep your audience engaged.
- Declamation: Master the art of reciting and interpreting famous speeches with emotion and clarity. Throughout the camp, students will develop crucial communication skills such as speech organization, volume control, projection, tonal variety, cadence and rhythm, diction, hand gestures, and emoting.
- With a mix of interactive activities, expert guidance, and plenty of practice opportunities, participants will gain the tools and confidence they need to shine on stage. This camp offers a supportive and fun environment where middle schoolers can discover the joy of public speaking and develop their unique voices.
